No. 17 Baker vs. No. 4 UNOH Ends in Scoreless Tie
BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – The No. 17 ranked Baker University men’s soccer team ended its 2017 Baker Classic with a 0-0 tie against No. 4 University of Northwestern Ohio on Labor Day.
After the result, the Wildcats move to 2-1-1 on the year, while the Racers now stand at 0-1-1.
At the half, each team attempted four shots with two shots on goal in the first frame.
At the end of regulation Baker had taken 10 shots, while the Racers had taken nine. Baker took three shots in the first overtime and two in the second, while holding UNOH to zero shots in both overtimes.
Alberto Ciroi finished the day with four saves in the 110 minutes of play in goal, while UNOH goalkeeper Caio Preza had six saves in the match.
Joseph Houlihan, Steeve Pouna and Blake Levine each had three shot attempts to lead Baker, while Pepe Cujudo led the way for UNOH with three shots.
The Wildcats will next face Northwestern College on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 2 pm in Orange City, Iowa.
