No. 16 Baker & No. 10 Lindsey Wilson End in 0-0 Tie

 

BALDWIN CITY, Kansas The No. 16 ranked Baker University women’s soccer team traveled to Columbia, Kentucky on Tuesday evening to take on the No. 10 ranked Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders and came home with a 0-0 tie after two overtimes.

 

The Wildcats have ended in a tie in two-straight matches and are now 0-1-2 on the year, while Lindsey Wilson moves to 1-1-2, this is the second-straight match the Blue Raiders neglected to score a goal.

 

Baker attempted five shots on the night with three coming from sophomore Erica Esch. The Blue Raiders took 12 shots on the night and BU’s Rachel Hunt recorded the shut out with five saves.

 

Shelby Austin led Lindsey Wilson with four shots against the Wildcats and LWC didn’t allow a shot on goal for Baker.

 

The latest NAIA Women’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 poll came out on Tuesday and the Wildcats fell 10 spots from No. 6 to No. 16.

 

Baker is joined by fellow Heart squad Benedictine in the Top 25, as the Ravens are No. 3 in the latest poll.
